Indications
Vertidisan® is used for vertigo caused by disorders of peripheral vestibular function – where applicable including any resulting tendency to fall (diseases of the labyrinth as well as of the vestibular nerves).
Vertidisan helps with
- Benign paroxysmal positional nystagmus (BPPN), positional vertigo
- Trauma (e.g. labyrinthine concussion/contusion, skull base injuries)
- Labyrinthitis (toxic, bacterial, viral)
- Functional vertigo, persistent postural-perceptual dizziness (PPPD), phobic vertigo, chronic vestibular syndrome
- Tumors of the skull base and cerebellopontine angle, acoustic neuroma
- Presbyvertigo (age-related vertigo)
- Menière's disease, Lermoyez syndrome
- Vestibular migraine
- Semicircular canal dehiscence
- Acute vestibular syndrome
- Vestibular neuritis
- Vestibular paroxysmia (neurovascular compression syndrome of the 8th cranial nerve)
- Bilateral vestibulopathy
- Unilateral vestibulopathy
- Sudden hearing loss with vertigo
- Toxic vestibulopathy
- Idiopathic vertigo
Not to be used for
- Cervical spine and neck disorders
- Acute inflammatory diseases
- Feverish condition
- Cardiovascular decompensation (heart failure)
- Pulmonary insufficiency (lung failure)
- Motor disorders
- Seizure disorders (e.g. epilepsy)
- Spinal cord injury
- Psychoses
- Skin sensitivity disorders with impaired gait
- Pregnancy
- Thrombosis
- Blood coagulation disorders, including anticoagulant therapy
- Large skin defects
- Burns requiring hospitalization
- Metastases of malignant tumors
- Significant visual impairment
- Frailty syndrome
